Scrap 8.2

Scrap 8.2 was a robot that competed in the final Season of Robotica. It was described as a six-wheeled low rider robot with lower middle wheels for more control. It also had a two pronged lifting arm as its weapon. According to Team Run Amok, its creator Devin Ostrom had a warehouse full of scrap parts to pick through for robot parts. He pieced together an aggressive six-wheel design with a front lifting step and a unique rear 'pivot hammer' that extended when the 'bot spun. It looked like the 'bot coul do it all if the homebrew electronics held together. However it lost in the Preliminary Stages to PSHHHT!.

Its name came from the scrap parts used to create the robot and the number of weeks it took to build it (8.2).
